Our Vision, Mission and Community Promise
The mission of the Mid-Kansas Community Action Program is to help people move from poverty to self-sufficiency. Mid-Kansas CAP is one of eight Community Action Programs in Kansas. Historically, community action programs have advocated on behalf of low-income families and individuals, responding to their needs at the local, regional and state levels. Programs and services provided by Mid-Kansas CAP are based on the needs of the communities we serve and the availability of funding. All programs follow income guidelines and are subject to the applicable ruelse and procedures of the funding source. The region we serve includes the following counties in central Kansas:
Butler, Chase, Cowley, Greenwood, Harper, Harvey, Kingman, Marion, Reno, and Sumner

Mid-Kansas Cap understands that people come from different backgrounds and it is our goal to work with people in their current situation to help them reach their full potential. We acknowledge that the only way someone can reach their full potential is with self determination(self driven) so we work with and not for our customers. We therefore adopted the following Vision Mission, and Promise statements:
