Embrace the Governance Process
As a Community Action Agency, we subscribe to the Tri-Partite Board Structure. This means that the composition of the Board of Directors shall, at all times, be comprised by:
1. At least 1/3 democratically selected representatives of the low-income residents of the geographical territory in which Mid-KS CAP provides services; and
2. At least 1/3 Public Officials, or their representative, of the geographical territory in which Mid-KS CAP provides services; while
3. The remaining seats on the board shall be representative of private welfare, business, religious, education, or other community interest groups. These individuals are selected by the standing Board to ensure the balance and effectiveness of the organization.
In general, all meetings of all members of the Mid-KS CAP Governing Board of Directors are held the 4th Thursday of each month at 730 Cliff Drive, Augusta, KS. Members can also volunteer for, or be nominated to, the Executive Committee, the Finance/Audit Committee, and/or the Personnel Committee.
